The two-storey structure sits comfortably within its context without encroaching on the modest backyard area. It is clad externally with express jointed, black stained plywood and wrapped in a timber batten screen at the upper level.
The screen obscures outlook from the rumpus room, minimising overlooking issues, while providing protection from the sun. At night, the warm glow through the battens creates a lantern-like effect.
